The Whole Armor of God

¹⁰ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. ^11 (A)Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the ^[a]wiles of the devil. ¹² For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against ^(B)principalities, against powers, against ^(C)the rulers of ^[b]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

¹² Therefore ^(A)rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! ^(B)Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, ^(C)because he knows that he has a short time.”

⁴ For I know of nothing against myself, yet I am not justified by this; but He who judges me is the Lord.

⁸ Be ^[a]sober, be ^[b]vigilant; ^[c]because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. ⁹ Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. ¹⁰ But ^[d]may the God of all grace, ^(A)who called ^[e]us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, ^[f]perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. ^11 (B)To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

⁵ when I call to remembrance ^(A)the ^[a]genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and ^(B)your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also. ⁶ Therefore I remind you ^(C)to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. ⁷ For ^(D)God has not given us a spirit of fear, ^(E)but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

¹⁰ The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

^44 (A)You are of your father the devil, and the ^(B)desires of your father you want to ^(C)do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and ^(D)does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

¹¹ lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.

³ For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. ^4 (A)For the weapons ^(B)of our warfare are not ^[a]carnal but ^(C)mighty in God ^(D)for pulling down strongholds, ^5 (E)casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, ^6 (F)and being ready to punish all disobedience when ^(G)your obedience is fulfilled.
